I read the Wikipedia entry on "Voces inocentes": http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voces_inocentes.
I learned "dirigir" means "to direct" and "transcurrir" means "to elapse". I learned that the movie was Mexican even though it is about El Salvador. I learned that "abordar" means "to address" and "ejercito" means "army." Also, I learned that "debido" means "because". I had to look some of these up because their meanings weren't evident in the context.
