For a while now, I have and will
have my phone’s language set as Spanish.
This helps me learn some Spanish since I know what a lot of the things
on my phone already are. Many of my apps
all turned Spanish, the weather is written all in Spanish and with pictures
next to it, and it was pretty easy to learn the words.
Examples are: soleado – sunny
parcialmente nublado – partly cloudy
mayormente
soleado – mostly sunny
chubasco
matinales – scattered showers
despejado
– clear
Another fun thing about turning my
phone into Spanish is the weather is in Celsius, and it’s just different to see
it compared to Fahrenheit. Having the
calendar in Spanish helps me learn the months, notifications I may get on Facebook
are in Spanish and since I click on it and figure out what it is, I can learn
many different words and sentences.
